1. About DUSK

DUSK is an AI-assisted architectural lighting design and visualisation tool created and operated by Daniel Green.

DUSK is provided as a Plugin within ChatGPT and is designed to help users explore lighting concepts, lighting treatments, relighting ideas and architectural visualisations.

2. How DUSK Works

DUSK operates within ChatGPT using instructions, reference material and the capabilities provided by OpenAI.

DUSK does not currently operate its own external processing server, MCP server, user account system or database.

When you interact with DUSK through ChatGPT, your prompts, uploaded images, generated images and conversation data are processed through OpenAI's services and are subject to OpenAI's applicable privacy policies, terms and account settings.

DUSK does not independently receive a separate copy of your ChatGPT conversations.

3. Information DUSK Collects

DUSK itself does not intentionally collect or maintain personal information about users through the Plugin.

In particular, DUSK does not independently store:

  • ChatGPT conversation history
  • prompts submitted to DUSK
  • images uploaded through ChatGPT
  • images generated through ChatGPT
  • names or ChatGPT account information
  • payment information
  • authentication credentials
  • location information

Information submitted through ChatGPT may nevertheless be processed and retained by OpenAI according to OpenAI's own policies and the settings associated with your ChatGPT account.

4. Uploaded Images and Files

Users may upload architectural photographs, renders, sketches, plans or other images when using DUSK.

These files are processed within ChatGPT for the purpose of responding to the user's request.

DUSK does not operate an independent file-storage service and does not separately archive uploaded images.

Users should avoid uploading confidential, commercially sensitive or personally identifiable material unless they are permitted to do so and are comfortable processing that material through ChatGPT.

5. Generated Content

DUSK may assist ChatGPT in producing AI-generated or AI-edited images, lighting concepts, written recommendations and other content.

Generation and processing are carried out using capabilities provided by OpenAI. DUSK does not independently store generated outputs outside ChatGPT.

6. Third-Party Services

The principal third-party service used by DUSK is OpenAI / ChatGPT.

OpenAI may process information submitted while using DUSK in accordance with its own privacy policy, terms of use and account-level data controls.

Users should review OpenAI's current privacy information if they would like to understand how ChatGPT processes and retains their information.

The DUSK website may also be hosted using third-party infrastructure. Basic technical information such as IP addresses, browser information or access logs may therefore be processed automatically by the hosting provider for security and operational purposes.

7. Website Analytics

The DUSK website may use basic hosting or traffic analytics provided by its hosting platform.

If additional analytics, cookies or tracking services are introduced in future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

DUSK does not currently use information obtained through the ChatGPT Plugin for advertising or behavioural profiling.

8. How Information Is Used

Where information is processed through the DUSK website, it may be used only for purposes such as:

  • operating and maintaining the website
  • responding to support enquiries
  • investigating technical problems
  • improving DUSK
  • preventing abuse or misuse
  • complying with legal obligations

DUSK does not sell user personal information.

9. Data Sharing

DUSK does not sell, rent or trade personal information.

Information may be processed by service providers where necessary to operate the website or Plugin environment, including OpenAI and website-hosting providers.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, security or users.

10. Data Retention

Because the DUSK Plugin does not maintain its own user database or conversation archive, DUSK does not independently set retention periods for ChatGPT conversations or uploaded content.

Retention of information processed through ChatGPT is governed by OpenAI's applicable policies and user settings.

Support correspondence or direct communications sent to the DUSK creator may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the enquiry or maintain appropriate records.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to access, correct or request deletion of information.

For information held directly by OpenAI through ChatGPT, requests should normally be made through OpenAI's privacy and account-management systems.

12. Children's Privacy

DUSK is not specifically directed at children.

Use of DUSK through ChatGPT is subject to OpenAI's applicable age requirements and account policies.

13. Security

Reasonable steps are taken to protect any information handled directly through the DUSK website.

However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

DUSK does not request passwords, API keys, payment credentials or other sensitive authentication information through normal Plugin use.

14. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if DUSK's functionality changes, particularly if DUSK later introduces external services, accounts, databases, MCP tools or other data-processing features.

The date at the top of this page will indicate when the policy was last updated.
